The Design Concentration of the Major in Architecture includes 13 course units, including five design studios (ARCH 1010 or ARCH 1020, ARCH 2010, ARCH 2020, ARCH 3010, and ARCH 3020), ARTH 2810: Modern Architecture, ARCH 3110: Theory I, and courses in Art History, Environmental Science, and Culture, Society, and the City (selected from arrays).
Completion of either ARCH 1010 or ARCH 1020 will satisfy the prerequisite requirement to enroll in ARCH 2010. The other four studios must be taken in sequence and are only offered once in each academic year as indicated below.

Application to the Design Concentration
To be admitted to the Major in Architecture in the Design Concentration, a student must have earned a final grade of B or better in ARCH 1010 or ARCH 1020.
