Halee Bouchehrian started her academic career as a Teaching Assistant in 2005 in the Undergraduate Architecture Program at the University of Pennsylvania, College of Arts and Sciences. She then co-taught the two first foundational studios in a six -semester cumulative studio sequence for the Architecture Major at Penn.
Later in 2011, Halee taught and coordinated studios in the Junior year and has been teaching in the program since. The same year, Halee began to teach in the summer program called “Architecture Summer at Penn (ASAP)” and has committed each summer since to improve and grow this program.
Halee is also the founder and principal of phenomenArch. phenomenArch is a small architecture firm with a focus on high end residential, mixed-use and hospitality work. phenomenArch approaches architecture as a problem-solving proposition and seeks thoughtful solutions to spatial challenges at any scale. phenomenArch sees constraints as opportunities for innovation.
Prior to founding phenomenArch, Halee has worked in architecture offices on three different continents in India (Mani & Chowfla), Germany (Behnisch Architekten) and the United States where she most recently worked with Arquitectonica and for BLT as a lead designer on Revel in Atlantic City, NJ.
Halee is fully trilingual in German, English, Farsi and proficient in French; she enjoys cooking, running and playing the piano. Halee lives in Philadelphia with her two children.
