Scott Aker, Lecturer in undergraduate Architecture, has won High Honors for his design of the June 5th Memorial. Presented on October 16, 2019 by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Westchester + Hudson Valley Chapter, the award is in recognition of architectural excellence of the memorial park. The jury commented, “the memorial was evocative, memorable, suggestive, contemplative yet inviting, accessible and human scaled…everything a memorial should be, yet not grandiose or forbidding.” Learn more
